For the next three days, dive into the wild beauty of Bardia. Experience the park through exhilarating jungle safaris, whether on the back of an elephant or in a jeep, as you look for rare species like Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, and wild elephants. Participate in guided nature walks, birdwatching, and visit the Tharu Cultural Museum to learn about the indigenous Tharu community. A peaceful canoe ride on the Karnali River provides an opportunity to see crocodiles and various aquatic birds.
On the sixth day, you’ll return to Nepalgunj and fly back to Kathmandu, reflecting on the unforgettable wildlife experiences. The tour wraps up on the seventh day with your final departure, leaving you with lasting memories of Bardia’s wild landscapes and incredible biodiversity. Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu. Meet our representative and transfer to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome drink and briefing about the upcoming adventure. Spend the rest of the day relaxing or exploring nearby cultural highlights such as Thamel or Durbar Square at your own pace.
Fly from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, a gateway to western Nepal. From there, drive through the scenic lowlands to Bardia National Park. Upon arrival, check in to your jungle lodge and enjoy lunch. The afternoon includes a nature walk or a visit to a nearby Tharu village for cultural immersion.
Start the day with an early morning jungle safari. Explore Bardia’s diverse wildlife including rhinos, wild elephants, and possibly the elusive Bengal tiger. In the afternoon, enjoy canoeing on the Karnali River or visit the crocodile breeding center. Relax in the evening with dinner and local cultural insights.
Continue your jungle adventure with another safari or full-day wildlife tracking experience. Accompanied by an expert naturalist, explore deeper into the park’s wilderness. Enjoy birdwatching and the natural serenity of the forest. Return to your lodge for a peaceful evening surrounded by the sounds of nature.
Today, engage in a combination of jungle walks, birdwatching, and an elephant safari or jeep ride depending on availability. You may also visit the Elephant Breeding Center. Learn more about local conservation efforts before enjoying a final evening at the lodge with traditional food and storytelling.
After breakfast, drive back to Nepalgunj and board your flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Consider shopping for souvenirs or visiting a nearby UNESCO World Heritage Site. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Enjoy your final breakfast in Nepal. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for some last-minute sightseeing or shopping. We’ll transfer you to the airport for your onward journey, filled with memories of Bardia’s wild beauty and Nepal’s warm hospitality.
